Our Centers

Helping patients heal close to home

Patients heal best when they are treated close to home, surrounded by family and friends. RBSE is focused on building and operating cancer centers in underserved areas so that more patients have access to advanced oncology care.

Our centers are built from the ground up with patient safety, comfort, and convenience in mind. We have revolutionized the building process and have set a new standard for the time in which a state-of-the-art center can be built and fully operational.

We chose Soldotna, Alaska as the site for our first center, as it was 160 miles, or three hours, from the nearest radiation facility. Peninsula Radiation Oncology Center was completed in 14 months, bringing “best in class” cancer care to patients on the Kenai Peninsula.

We then focused our attention on Juneau, Alaska, where patients no choice but to fly to Anchorage or out of state for radiation therapy- or in some cases, to forego recommended treatments. Southeast Radiation Oncology Center was built on an even more aggressive timetable; from groundbreaking to our first patient within six months. Today patients from the Southeast Alaska region are able to be treated closer to home, reducing the financial and emotional burden for the patients and their families.

RBSE continues to bring HOPE to rural communities, and we have several new centers in development. Watch the News and Events page for announcements!
